If you are an old guy like me, you have possibly had more then one or two friends or relatives through the years come up with some fascinating idea that they thought they were gonna get wealthy with. They knew that if they only came up with a good thing, that they would be on their way.
The funny part is that several of these ideas actually weren't all that bad. Some, well, they were a little bit off the wall, but so was the Pet Rock and it did pretty darn well. If you are to young to remember the pet rock, just except that it had been a dopey idea that made an entrepreneur lots of money.
But, with very few exceptions, those people with their clever ideas never made any sales, developed any products or became captains of any industries. The reason is they weren't entrepreneurs. They were just people with a solid idea. If you're wondering, as many people used to say, "once in a lifetime deals, usually don't come along more then a couple of times per day.
So it is not the concept, its the execution of the idea that means almost everything. I assume the exception would be if you had seeds that would actually develop money trees, you wouldn't need much help selling those.
An Entrepreneur Is A Patient Farmer And A Hunter
For those of you that have sales backgrounds you have probably heard the terms farmer and hunter. You've generally heard them with the caveat that very few people could be both. But to succeed in business you must be both. You have to be able to do what is necessary to go out and hunt for new business. But you also have to be a farmer and plant the seeds of your business idea and tend to them, like a farmer tends to their crops.
This is one of the things that make entrepreneurs so exceptional. It's another aspect of why business ideas require entrepreneur solutions. If you cannot patiently manage the expansion of your company during the tough times and you either can't or are unwilling to get out in front of the people you need to in an effort to grow your company. Then even the perfect idea on the planet is more likely to fail.
Entrepreneurs Don't Have All The Solutions, But They Will Do Anything And Everything To Get Them
To have a successful enterprise, you must be ready to do what it takes. Being very creative and finding, or coming up with solutions under pressure will be the sign of a true entrepreneur. Many smart individuals with great ideas still fall apart under the pressure of daily decision making and managing the tough challenges that appear more frequently then dandelions on the golf course.
The pursuit of the goal isn't what brings a business idea to fruition it's the vision of the goal that does it. Always keeping the dream in front of you is critical. Yet, so many lose site of that as a result of the difficulty of the circumstance they face that day.
So the top ideas attached to entrepreneur solutions are the ones which have the best chances of success. It's also a really powerful combination in the world of business.
